Our Kids Martial Arts classes are designed to instill discipline, respect,and confidence.  We develop core athletic competencies in age appropriate ways while teaching the fundamentals of effective martial arts. 

Our trained and experienced staff are accustomed to working with kids of all ages and fitness levels, so no one ever feels left behind or out of place. In a martial arts class, no one sits on the bench and the focus is on the personal development of each individual student.

Which program is right for your child?

Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ages 5 and up):

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a low impact, high performance grappling sport that emphasizes pins, chokes, and joint locks, making it an ideal foundation for self-defense.  Our youth BJJ classes teach these effective techniques in safe and age appropriate ways, while emphasizing a positive attitude and good sportsmanship.  

Youth Judo (ages 5 and up):

Judo is a high intensity sport that builds agility, cardiovascular strength, coordination, and whole body strength.  After children learn a variety of tumbling and basic falling skills called “ukemi,” they move on to master techniques for throwing, tripping, and pinning their opponents.  Older children learn choking techniques (13+) and arm bars (15+) as well as escapes and counters to all these moves.   

Judo is also well known for its strong emphasis on character development, discipline, and ethical behavior.  The International Judo Federation requires every judo school to teach and exemplify 8 moral behaviors: respect, honesty, self-control, friendship, courtesy, honor, courage and modesty.

Youth Boxing (ages 8 and up):

Our top notch boxing program is known throughout the region for teaching real skills and getting real results.  Children learn the basics of the art of boxing in a safe and age appropriate instructional program.  Whether your child hopes to get in shape, step in the ring, or handle him/herself effectively in a dangerous situation, they can meet their goal in our boxing program.
